Acts 19-20

There is really no healing virtue or power in any item of clothing or other object, whether owned by Paul or Jesus or anyone.  But sometimes objects may be used to help increase faith.  And those healings and miracles ultimately come by the power of that faith.

Recognizing Trauma in Your Body

When we come to earth we begin our journey of mortality by getting a body. Our body and spirit start to experience all the joys and pains of living life as a human being. All of us in one way or the other will experience situations that can be classified as trauma. The body's response to these situations is the way God designed it to be so that the body can protect us as needed. However, as you will hear coach Cami Birdo speak about today, trauma is never meant to stay in the body yet so many hold onto it and carry this unnecessary burden through their lives. Cami wants everyone to know that there are ways to release trauma and find the healing you deserve.

Exploring Atonement

A few weeks ago, we released a conversation with Terryl Givens about the life of Eugene England. England’s work on atonement theology had felt like it necessitated another conversation, but it was too big to fit into the first one. Luke 22; John 18

In this episode we'll talk about Luke 22 and John 18. We'll talk about the ordinance of the sacrament and what makes it unique from other gospel ordinances. We'll discuss the idea of being "willing" to do something and how that impacts the process of change. We'll further address how being willing to change is a necessary element in making mental health progress. We'll also talk about the Savior's power and how He has the ability to heal us from our mental and emotional issues. This healing usually takes place by Him providing needed supports in our lives, encouraging our diligence, and having us walk a path that ultimately leads to a better situation.
