We love and revere Joseph Smith - and rightfully so. But let’s not forget about his equally amazing brother. Hyrum. The Lord gives him some wonderful counsel that is very applicable to us today.
In D&C 10, not only do we see Satan exposed for the fraud that he is, but we also see the true character of Jesus Christ and his goodness in helping us become “more than conquerors”. 🙏🏻 #
I remember a quote from Ezra Taft Benson which said that The Book of Mormon exposes the enemies of Christ. Well this section of the D&C may be one of the best at exposing Satan himself and his tricky, terrible tactics.
I love D&C 10 for many reasons. God is in charge and he knows what he is doing. His plan is perfect and if we have faith in him and his plan, then Satan will lose all power in our lives. 💪🏻🙏🏻😇 #Thec
D&C 6, 8-9 sections are full of Powerful Principles Pertaining to Personal Promptings...(like my alliteration??? 😂). I think I found over 30 of them, but why should I have all the fun? See how many you can find in these amazing sections!
D&C 8:2-3 have always fascinated me! Of all the great examples out there, why would the Lord use this one to describe personal revelation? After a little bit of study, I think he chose the perfect example! 👏🏻 #
The words “doubt” and “fear” have been driving a lot of emotions and opinions over the last year or so. These are not new emotions, and Satan leverages those to his advantage. God knows our propensity to lean towards these two emotions, and has a great solution...for Oliver Cowdery, and for us today. 😀 If you’d like to view the video that goes with this podcast, click here
Harmony, PA was a place of growth for the Restoration of the gospel. Oliver Cowdery played a huge role in the unfolding of this “marvelous work”. Indeed, as he himself said, “These were days never to be forgotten!”
I imagine that once Joseph had the ability to translate back, he was anxious to jump back in and try and catch up. The Lord is good and promised him “means” whereby he could do that. He puts someone into his life at the right time for that to happen. He does the same today with us. 😀
