This podcast was broadcast 11/7/2020. Following are the original show notes. Jared Halverson has been an institute teacher at the University of Utah for six years. He hails originally from Los Angeles. His YouTube channel/podcast, “Unshaken,” helps people study the scriptures. He is a former resident of Tennessee where he studied in the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University, where he is now a PhD candidate in Historical Studies with a focus on American religious history. While attending Vanderbilt, Jared sometimes was called upon to speak to college classes or to non-LDS congregations in the Nashville community to explain his religious beliefs, especially during the Mitt Romney presidential run. He was an avid athlete in high school (football and track) and interacted with a broad spectrum of religions among his boyhood friends, and served a Spanish-speaking mission.

Brad Lowder is a senior vice president at FamilySearch International. He has experience across media, marketing, advertising, and communications industries, and is an accomplished television producer and screenwriter. Prior to working for FamilySearch, Brad’s career included working in newspaper, radio, and satellite broadcasting where he produced live sporting events. He was also managing partner of two advertising agencies, chief marketing officer of a national franchise, and vice president of marketing and sales for an electronics company. Brad also owned a broadcasting company that created and produced a globally-syndicated radio program.
