Brenda Angle has served as a Young Women president, Primary president, stake and ward Relief Society president, stake camp director, and as a service missionary teaching study skills at the Provo Missionary Training Center. She is an author and a certified faith-based life coach and speaker who has also trained and certified 200 other faith-based life coaches. Brenda has served as president of United Families for Arizona and as an NGO lobbyist at the United Nations. In her humanitarian work, she has served as vice president of Hearts and Hands for Humanity, vice president director of philanthropy for Legacy Giving Fund, and has traveled to Tanzania, Africa for eight years. She is the mother of nine children and grandmother of 40.

Doctrine & Covenants 23-26

This week we are studying Doctrine and Covenants sections 23-26. We’ll talk about the difference between self-condemnation and self-compassion related to our emotional and mental well-being. We’ll review how although the Lord does condemn at times, it is out of love and for our eventual improvement. We’ll discuss the importance of learning to walk by faith and being content with not knowing all outcomes. We’ll also talk about Emma Smith, the counsel given to her, and how we can learn to act in the role which we are appointed.

Your Faith Will Take You Home

Halfway through their mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dan and Donna Bingham were faced with the unimaginable. Dan broke his neck and suffered a spinal cord injury which left him in need of intense medical supervision. While they needed to come "home", they couldn't return home to the home they had left because they needed to be closer to a facility that could meet his needs. Though they had no idea where "home" might be during this trying time, they came to understand that no matter where you are in life, your faith will always take you "home".
