I have a very strong testimony that when you share the gospel with one person - it is NEVER just one person. Just ask Alma…
D&C 18:10 reminds us the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. We are His children and one of the best ways we can show our gratitude to him to bring Him joy is to seek to repent and change daily….and help others do the same.
D&C 18 contains one of the shortest verses in scripture, but man is it powerful!
What an amazing experience to have been chosen to fulfill ancient prophecy and be a witness to the plates like these good men got to do. The same process they went through to see what they saw is the same process for us to become “witnesses” to aspects of the gospel that we would like to gain a stronger testimony of.
Two very identical sections with a most important message to not only to the Whitmer brothers, but for us today. Teaching repentance is what it all boils down to, and hopefully sections 15-16 help us do it effectively and with love…and acceptance.
Today we are introduced to one of the first families of the Restoration, a family who provided their home and their testimonies to the establishment of this great church. Hope you get to love the Whitmer family, especially David just a little bit more.

The events of a wonderful day in 1829 changed everything, and D&C 13 captures that power in just one verse! And then add Oliver Cowdery’s testimony (one of the best scriptures no one reads_—and you get a beautifully poetic take on receiving the Aaronic Priesthood, baptism, and repentance.

The scriptures are full of “Best Supporting Actors” and in D&C 12 you get to meet a great one...an ever faithful, temperate, and devoted friend to Joseph Smith and this great work.
