Mosiah 17
I love Abinadi and his bold, courageous witness of Jesus Christ. It has influenced so many and it will yet influence billions more.

Something that Abinadi preached in these chapters changed Alma’s heart and he applies his message. We don’t know what it specifically was that changed Alma…but I have some ideas.
When we truly “apply” the gospel message and allow it to be “written in our hearts”, that is when true conversion takes place.
A prophet’s message has always been to invite us to repent. How we respond to that message can affect our level of confidence and peace in our lives.
When you are dealing with a “blinded” people, how important is it to have access to a “seer” to help us understand?
Why do these Lamanites want to fight the Nephites so much? What is at the root of their “eternal hatred”?
Oftentimes in life, in our “overzealousness” and excitement - we sometimes neglect the instructions, thinking we know better.
I can testify to you that we have a prophet, seer, and revelator in Russell M. Nelson and his ability to “See” things we can’t see, is of “great benefit” to us.
As we put our trust in God, He will deliver us out of bondage…regardless of where or how that bondage originated from.
One of my favorite, but lesser-known titles of Jesus Christ is found in Mosiah 7, and it can give us great comfort as we put our trust in Him.
