Just like one of the more well-known Isaiah prophecies - “For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” Not to punish them, but to invite them to connect with him through covenants that can save and protect. 😁
Here it is - “The Great and Terrible” day of the Lord that prophets for hundreds of years have been prophesying about and pleasing with the people to prepare for. “O, that we had repented” may be one of the saddest phrases in scripture. An important lesson to learn from this sad chapter.
Our theme for this whole week - If you knew that the most important event to ever happen to you were coming in just a few years, could you stay patient and faithful so you could experience it. A great lesson to learn from the Nephites in the BOM. 😀
Yay! The Nephites are righteous...for a couple chapters! 😂. There’s actually some great insights on what it means to be a “disciple” of Jesus Christ and why that is so essential to not only survive, but thrive in this world.

How does someone reason away “a day, a night, and a day” without any darkness? Sounds like we need to be more careful with protecting and preserving our “Spiritually Defining Memories”.
The believing Saints at this time in the Book of Mormon were desperate for the sign that a prophet had promised. Their lives depended on it. For us, when difficult times come - even though you still believe in miracles...sometimes, it’s just nice to have that faith validated from time to time. 😁
As we are getting closer to the coming of the Savior to the world, the people in the Book of Mormon break into “parts”. It is introspective to wonder which “part” each of us would fit into during those crazy times. 🤔
This is kind of a “part 2” from yesterday about our not only our absolute need for a prophet, but how we respond to him when he lovingly calls us to repent. 😇
For nearly 2/3 of the Book of Mormon, the Nephites have been “the good guys” while the Lamanites were “the bad guys”. Now, they’ve switched places! What exactly got the Lamanites to this point where they are now the righteous ones? 🤔
