Once upon a time Hank Smith and John Bytheway helped to create a membership-based app called Our Turtle House. It has recently been reimagined, revamped, and rebranded into LatterDaily™, a platform where Latter-Day Saints can easily access podcasts, miniseries, talks, and other content that reflect their values and lifestyle. 

Do you have a podcast? Does it reflect the values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? Does it address topics that people are currently looking for? And…are you looking to help and inspire those who listen? If you can answer “yes” to all these questions, then we’ll absolutely be more than happy to consider housing your content on the app.

Less than you would think. First, you’ll take a few minutes to submit your podcast for review. If it’s approved we’ll send you a link where you’ll fill out all the necessary information, notify us of your payment preferences, and upload all your graphics.  We’ll get the ball rolling and simply stay in touch every month after that. Everything should stay pretty automated. However, we encourage you to reach out any time with questions, concerns, thoughts, or ideas!

Short answer: whatever you’re already doing.

Long answer: if you don’t record video podcasts already, we strongly  encourage you to consider doing so. Our subscribing members like a little bit of both for a myriad of reasons. However, the current trend really is moving toward video so we trust you to do what you feel is best. 

Great question! And…no. We want our subscribing members to be able to access as much of your content as you’d like to give them. Just remember that the more episodes you allow on the app, the more people can watch/listen to you…which turns into a higher income for you,

New podcasts become available on LatterDaily™ the 1st of every month. In order for your content to be available as quickly as possible, please make sure to provide all required information (e.g., signed contracts, graphics, links, etc.) by EOD on the 15th of the month prior. (Example: If we receive all necessary information on/before May 15th, your podcast will be available beginning June 1. If received May 16, it will be available July 1.)

ABSOLUTELY! LatterDaily™ is simply another platform where listeners can find your content…and easily discover additional content with similar Latter-Day Saint values. 

This is probably our very favorite question ever. YES!!! We have several different options for you to submit: full-length talks, miniseries, devotionals. Eventually we’d even love to move into audiobooks and classes/courses as well as other app-exclusive upsells, but that’s a bit farther down the road.

We’ll try to make it simple: we calculate our overall revenue, take take out our operating expenses, then divide the remaining revenue between our contributors.  Our analytic system tells us what percentage of our subscribers watch each creator’s content, then each creator is paid that percentage of the revenue! We include a visual sample throughout the onboarding process so you get a better idea.

We understand your concern, and the answer is no. We are carefully vetting and limiting our number of creators to allow the ability for them to be easily seen and found on the app. Of course, as our membership numbers grow, we will slowly onboard additional creators and create an even greater variety to meet our audience’s needs, but we will always aim to keep each of our creators as visible as possible.  

We believe in the gift of free agency. 😉 We certainly won’t force you into becoming an affiliate if you don’t want to. But know that you are always invited to and we’d love to have you on board. Plus…we can’t think of anything better than giving you 10% of all new memberships purchased with your affiliate link. But it’s all up to you.
