For most of us, what is required is not to die for the church, but to live for it. Living a Christlike life every day may be even more difficult than laying down one’s life.
Does being a member of this church feel like a sacrifice to you? Honestly, some days I’m good! But other days, I’m painfully aware of the sacrifices I am making. So what can we learn from Stephen’s sacrifice? Let’s study Acts 7:60 together!
The phrase “holding space” is very Coach specific lingo and yet, it is a skill that would benefit everyone. Today coach Denita Bremer is here talking about what the term “holding space” means to her, how we can become better at doing it, what it means for us and others, and most importantly, how it helps us become like our Savior Jesus Christ. Denita is a trauma coach and we have talked a lot about trauma in the last few episodes. This skill of holding space by a coach is key in helping others overcome trauma. So, if you feel like you really need a safe individual to handle your experiences, reach out to Denita so she can hold space for you in overcoming your trauma.
If you’re a parent who wants to “like the people you love” even more, this episode is for you! Christi Davis talks through some of the challenges of raising children in today’s world, learning to trust that miracles can happen as your children learn to uncover their potential.
As the church continues to grow at unprecedented rates today, the Lord continues to call many to assist in the work - and they are faithfully answering that call.
In this episode we'll talk about Acts 6-9. We'll focus on the story of Saul. Saul was a hater and persecutor of believers of Jesus Christ, causing damage and destruction to the church as a whole and to individual lives of members. Eventually he is visited by Jesus Christ who rebukes him and commands him to repent. Saul heeds the call and is eventually healed by Ananias, a faithful disciple. The story of Saul invites introspection to the idea of forgiveness. Did he deserve forgiveness? How would others react to his changed ways? We'll discuss the commandment to forgive and review how forgiveness can improve our spirituality and increase our mental and emotional health.
