The Benefits of Anxiety

Most of us try to avoid anxiety at any cost. It’s an emotion that tends to not feel the best and our natural instinct is to run away from it. But no emotion is bad and all have been given to us by our Heavenly Father. Coach Cory Hardman is on the podcast today talking about all the benefits we can have in our lives if we can learn to use anxiety as a tool to propel us forward to achieving our goals. Since every single one of you listening is a human, this is an emotion you deal with so come see exactly how well you may or may not be using anxiety in your life to create good things. If you have a teen or young adult who you know could use some help with managing their anxiety, pass this podcast along to them and then encourage them to sign up to chat with Cory on how they can manage it better.

A Tech Entrepreneur Makes a Viral Mistake

Our “Stick With It” series on the Top of Mind podcast continues with Milan Kordestani – tech entrepreneur and author of “I’m Just Saying: A Guide to Maintaining Civil Discourse in an Increasingly Divided World.” Kordestani was already preaching the importance of civil discourse when he tweeted something during the pandemic that went viral and caused him to realize he’d fallen short. His new book, “I’m Just Saying” is a guidebook for learning to lean into the discomfort of challenging topics.

1 Corinthians 8–13

In this episode we'll talk about 1 Corinthians 8-13. We'll talk about one of the promises made regarding our ability to withstand temptations, including the idea that we will always be provided with a way to escape any temptation that comes our way. However, this will definitely require action on our part. This concept also applies to emotional and other challenges. Although we may be afflicted with such conditions, God will provide a way for our healing that will most assuredly require action on our part. We'll also discuss the doctrine of spiritual gifts, what these include, and how they can help us overcome challenges and become a blessing to others.
