D&C 29:9-10

When the Lord says “I come quickly” in 1831, it could freak out a lot of people. The reality of it is that we are here to help prepare the world for the Second Coming...and there are some that may not understand what that means and how to do it. Hopefully this week of studying D&C 29 can help. 😀

Doctrine and Covenants 29

This week we are studying Doctrine and Covenants sections 29. First, we’ll talk about the role of agency in change and mental health improvement. We’ll discuss how we need to take accountability for our choices and do difficult things. We’ll also talk about how as we align our will with God, we will achieve greater strength to endure all kinds of challenges. Finally, we’ll discuss how trials, including mental health challenges, are part of a greater process to help us exercise our agency and eventually become more like our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Doctrine and Covenants 27–28

If you had to choose one word that could change your spiritual life, what would it be? President Spencer W. Kimball once shared what he believed was the most important word in the gospel. John explores why that word appears so often in scripture, how it connects to the sacrament, and how it can keep us from falling into spiritual pride cycles. Once you know this, you’ll never see scripture study the same way again!
