Two very identical sections with a most important message to not only to the Whitmer brothers, but for us today. Teaching repentance is what it all boils down to, and hopefully sections 15-16 help us do it effectively and with love…and acceptance. 😃

The events of a wonderful day in 1829 changed everything, and D&C 13 captures that power in just one verse! 🙏🏻 And then add Oliver Cowdery’s testimony (one of the best scriptures no one reads_—and you get a beautifully poetic take on receiving the Aaronic Priesthood, baptism, and repentance. 😇 #T
The scriptures are full of “Best Supporting Actors” and in D&C 12 you get to meet a great one...an ever faithful, temperate, and devoted friend to Joseph Smith and this great work. 😀

We love and revere Joseph Smith - and rightfully so. But let’s not forget about his equally amazing brother. Hyrum. The Lord gives him some wonderful counsel that is very applicable to us today.
In D&C 10, not only do we see Satan exposed for the fraud that he is, but we also see the true character of Jesus Christ and his goodness in helping us become “more than conquerors”. 🙏🏻 #
I remember a quote from Ezra Taft Benson which said that The Book of Mormon exposes the enemies of Christ. Well this section of the D&C may be one of the best at exposing Satan himself and his tricky, terrible tactics.
I love D&C 10 for many reasons. God is in charge and he knows what he is doing. His plan is perfect and if we have faith in him and his plan, then Satan will lose all power in our lives. 💪🏻🙏🏻😇 #Thec
