3 Nephi 12:48-13:1-18

Does God expect us to be perfect? Yes...eventually, and only through the Atonement and mercy of Jesus Christ. In our efforts to work on perfection, there is a temptation to put on a perfect show when we are not perfect. Don’t just do things to look perfect, be real and be authentic. 😀

3 Nephi 12-14

How can the command “I would that ye should be perfect...” motivate us rather than frustrate us? Hopefully these next few days of “The Sermon at the Temple” can help with that. 😀Here is the link to the Google Doc mentioned in the episodehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1hhv_LWxZ_O2m7Wobc50z-E5BFa6BHuwZ/view

3 Nephi 10

During times of uncertainly and confusion, isn’t it nice to have the imagery of a mother hen gathering and protecting her beloved chicks? He’s done it before, and He’ll do it again. We just need to be willing to accept and welcome that protection.

Just like one of the more well-known Isaiah prophecies - “For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” Not to punish them, but to invite them to connect with him through covenants that can save and protect. 😁

Here it is - “The Great and Terrible” day of the Lord that prophets for hundreds of years have been prophesying about and pleasing with the people to prepare for. “O, that we had repented” may be one of the saddest phrases in scripture. An important lesson to learn from this sad chapter.

Our theme for this whole week - If you knew that the most important event to ever happen to you were coming in just a few years, could you stay patient and faithful so you could experience it. A great lesson to learn from the Nephites in the BOM. 😀
