Section 29 really introduces this concept of “the gathering” and it has really “captured the attention” of President Nelson...and he has really emphasized the importance of it in our day to help the world prepare for the Second Coming of the Savior. 😇
The Second Coming of the Savior will be a crazy and scary time for some, but the first few verses of D&C 29 contain some hopeful, helpful, and glad messages to prepare the world for that great time.
Another aspect of the gospel that the world needs to hear is how the Fall is a crucial part of God’s plan of Happiness. And I think you’ll appreciate a nice take on an old familiar nursery rhyme.
One of the things that this world needs to hear to prepare for the Second Coming is that God has a perfect plan and Jesus Christ is our loving Savior. 🙏🏻
When the Lord says “I come quickly” in 1831, it could freak out a lot of people. The reality of it is that we are here to help prepare the world for the Second Coming...and there are some that may not understand what that means and how to do it. Hopefully this week of studying D&C 29 can help. 😀
