Cali Black

Cali Black is an author, podcaster, speaker, and content creator who loves the scriptures. At the beginning of 2019, Cali felt called to start an Instagram account titled @ComeFollowMeStudy. Little did she know that a worldwide pandemic would hit the following year and her content would be needed more than ever. She was able to pivot her content and focus on using the Book of Mormon to share peace and joy. Cali also co-hosts the popular podcast, “One Minute Scripture Study,” and has co-written two Amazon best-selling books, “One Minute Scripture Study in the New Testament” and also a version of the Old Testament. Above all, Cali knows that the scriptures hold the keys to pointing us toward our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brian Tanner

Brian Tanner is passionate about audio storytelling. He is the creator, co-host, and head writer of Kaboom: An Audio Adventure Podcast and the senior producer of The Apple Seed: A Storytelling Podcast. He has both a creative and a business background, having earned a doctorate in music performance from the University of Michigan and an MBA in marketing from BYU. In a previous role as a marketing manager at BYU Broadcasting Brian worked on projects with John Legend, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and Lauren Daigle, and his awards campaign for the serial podcast Treasure Island 2020 resulted in a Peabody Award nomination and a Webby Award honor. In his spare time Brian enjoys theater and has performed with organizations such as the Ohio Light Opera Company, Hubbard Hall Opera Theater (New York), the Operetta Foundation (Los Angeles), the Salt Lake Symphony, and Hale Center Theater Orem.

Barbara Morgan Gardner

Barbara Morgan Gardner is an associate professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. Her research interests focus primarily on women in religious leadership, international education (most specifically Latin America), and religious pedagogy. She is the author of the book The Priesthood Power of Women in the Temple, Church, and Family. Barbara received her PhD in instructional psychology. Her master’s degree is in educational leadership and foundations with an emphasis in international education development. She completed postdoctoral work at Harvard University in higher education administration. She served as institute director for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Boston, which included her assignment as the chaplain at both Harvard and MIT. She continues to serve as the chaplain-at-large in higher education for the LDS Church. She also serves on the BYU Interfaith Outreach Council. She was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and resides in Highland, Utah. Barbara is married to Dustin Gardner, and they are the parents of two children. She enjoys her wonderful family, learning, teaching, traveling, people, the great outdoors, and life!

Aubrey Chaves

Tim and Aubrey Chaves grew up near Salt Lake City, Utah — and went to both middle school and high school together. Tim served an LDS mission to Montevideo, Uruguay. He attended BYU for his undergraduate studies before earning an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is now an entrepreneur working in Utah County. Aubrey received a degree in Elementary Education from Utah State before teaching fourth grade for two years; she now owns a cake decorating business. Tim and Aubrey are the parents of four children.

Ashly Stone

Ashly Stone was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and raised in St. George UT. She is the middle of five children. Ashly has been in recovery from addiction for 9 1/2 years, and has spent years helping those who are still struggling. She works as a Senior Account Executive for a software company in the addiction recovery space, and most importantly, is a mother to her two beautiful children, Jane (5) and Calvin (20 months). Ashly loves running half marathons, riding bikes, and being outside in the St. George sunshine. Ashly started a Podcast called “Come Back” featuring stories of those who have come back to the church. Ashly has made it her mission to share her story and let others know that they can come back to the gospel after struggles.

Alisha Coakley

Alisha was born in Grand Haven, MI but grew up mostly in the SW Florida area. She and her husband have 3 gorgeous kiddos and 3 lazy cats, all of whom Alisha loves “smothering with her mothering.” The gospel has always been a priority in her life, even at a very young age. She’s eager to serve wherever she can and often finds herself juggling a little too much because of her inability to say No! Along with co-hosting the Latter-Day Lights podcast, Alisha is also preparing to launch her first book and blog! Her self-proclaimed “Shiny Syndrome” can make it difficult to stay focused from time to time, but she’s determined to push through in an effort to become the person Heavenly Father needs her to be.
